The Art Window Coverings and Drapery Company was established in 1923. The business began cleaning and making school shades in D.O. Summer’s factory on the west side of Cleveland. In 1951, increased business and the need for display areas forced the move to our current location at 3620 Perkins Ave.

Art Window Coverings has provided sales and service of all types of shades, blinds, and draperies in the Cleveland area for over 80 years. Our on-site workroom allows us to be in control of your custom drapery from the beginning of the design process through installation. Professional installation is provided by our own staff of qualified installers.

Over the years we have serviced The Plain Dealer, MetroHealth, Cleveland Public Library, numerous banks and The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, including the main campus and satellite locations.

Our business started by making roller shades and they are still an integral part of it. We are happy to deal with local schools, regularly providing new shades as well as cleaning and repairing existing shades over the summer so that they are ready for action in the fall!

Residential customers seek our design expertise for all types of treatments. Most use the shop at home services we offer. Appointments in your home or office can be arranged after discussing your needs by phone, so we can knowledgeably select samples for you to view. We would love to work with you!
